‘My sessions with Rebecca have been absolutely invaluable. When a period of change was exacerbating my struggles with anxiety, I made contact with Rebecca for help, and I’m so glad I did. She is wonderful to talk to – friendly, constructive and non-judgmental – I felt very quickly that she wouldn’t be shocked by anything I told her. This is perhaps the quality I prioritise most in a therapist, and Rebecca embodies it wholeheartedly, making me feel safe and secure in our conversations. I must admit that I was initially slightly sceptical of the ‘art’ element implicit within ‘art therapy’, not having much experience with this, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this option. Her steadfast belief that anyone can make art allowed me to express myself without self-consciousness. Additionally, there was no pressure to use the art tools if I didn’t feel that I wanted or needed to, which was very helpful’.
‘My daughter was initially very daunted at the prospect of seeing a therapist, but Rebecca is gentle and patient, and over the course of several months, she has shepherded my daughter from a place of constant anxiety to a place of relative calm. I see the beginnings of self-awareness and concern for others. My daughter has some stable friendships now and is more able to cope with school. I’m in no doubt that the sessions with Rebecca have set her on a much more positive path, long-term.’Parent

‘I engaged with Rebecca whilst trying to come to terms with the impact of a traumatic event. She has helped me create new connections, that bring a sense of calm into my future. Her thoughtful, reflective and warm nature, coupled with insight and areas of appropriate challenge, have given me the strength to build up a trusting relationship, which enables me to continue to gain a deeper understanding of myself. I am very fortunate to work with Rebecca.’
